There is POWER and AUTHORITY behind the names we have been given….. Are you living out the meaning of your name??? Do you even know what your name means? We are referred to these names multiply times daily for our entire lives yet many of us do not understand the properties or the meanings of which something can be placed in its proper class or identified as being what it is….… Hebrew sages explain that a name is not just a convenient way to refer to someone. Rather, one’s name reveals something about the ESSENCE of the person……. What is your essence? That most significant element, quality, or aspect of who you are…… are you aware that it is there? Are you ready to live it out? Or change it?

Explore your special qualities…… you are not ordinary….. your name will reveal this…..

If you do research on your essence you will find out the same…. No one is ordinary, we were all named to be somebody….. are you willing to understand the power and authority behind your name? Or are you willing to change that name to encompass the essence that has been placed in your heart? We all need those daily reminders of our individual, real and ultimate nature! 5 years ago I was out running and I heard so clearly…Amy, you are going to have a son and I want you to name him Joziah….. A little glimpse of my story which made this was a crazy thing to hear…. to begin… my husband and I were not interested in having children. Secondly, the year before I heard this I suffered from cancer and lost 70% of my cervix which would have made it very difficult to hold a child to the second trimester. Third, I was on birth control and fourth I was over 35 years old and my husband was over 45….. well….. excuses, excuses, excuses….. I heard what I heard and names have power and authority……. 3 years ago I found out I was pregnant…. not only that I was 5.5 months along, at the end of my 2nd trimester. My husband, Brian remembered what I had heard a few years before……. So we looked up what Joziah means…. can you guess what it means???? Joziah means God has healed!!!! Pretty cool!

Side note: Don’t forget to look up every one of your names….. They are ALL interesting and significant! Let’s take my name as an example…. it may seem plain but it is anything but that…

Amy means Beloved

Lane means path, route, track, pathway, trail, orbit, alley or in Old English – ‘narrow pathway’

Boyer means a mix of many countries and nationalities…. it was derived from the name Brewers which were the female beer makers that saved the world from the bubonic plague

Colgan means Sword or Thorn

Now lets have some fun:
